And in yet more zombie-related news today, we have received information on one of the first pieces of expected DLC for Resident Evil 5, which, (in case you’ve been living under a rock) hits stores tomorrow.
The Resident Evil 5 “Versus” pack, due to be out on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live in “a few weeks” will retail for $4.99/400 MS points respectively. According to Capcom, the DLC package will add two new, competitive multiplayer modes for up to four players to the game experience.
The first, dubbed Slayer’s Rule, is a point-based game that challenges players to off the infected Majinis – perhaps like a multiplayer variant of Mercenaries? The second mode, called Survivor’s Rule, pits the players against each other.
Players can begin the hunt as Chris, Sheva or other secret characters, and choose from either one-on-one or two-versus-two team matches for either of the two gameplay styles.
Here’s to hoping those tank controls don’t make this add-on nigh-unplayable. Also, if you don’t want those “secret” characters spoiled, you may want to avoid looking at the screens behind the cut.

And the Capcom nickle-and-diming that began in SF IV continues!
Really, couldn’t they make this PART OF THE GODDAMN DISC OR SOMETHING?
