Okay, look – I’m going to make this very, very simple for you.
You are going to log onto Steam and you are going to purchase World of Goo. You’re going to do it right now and you’re not going to question me. Got that? I don’t even need you to come back and thank me afterward.
Just go do it.
Now.
…
I know you people too well. You’re being bullheaded about this, aren’t you? You want more info? Fine. Here’s more info.
For this weekend only, 2D Boy’s award-winning indie puzzle game World of Goo is on sale for $5 on Steam. The game normally retails for $20 (and is worth every penny of that price) but at $5, you not buying it is a slap in both of 2D Boy’s faces.
The studio consists of just two guys – yes, you read that right. Kyle Gabler and Ron Carmel released this charming, physics driven title in the fall of last year and it famously suffered from a 90% piracy rate. Don’t believe me? Look it up yourself. A 90% piracy rate on a $20, indie-released title with zero DRM made by two guys. That’s just sad beyond belief. Games like this deserve to be supported at every turn because despite being an indie effort, it’s just a damn good game. I’m sorry for soapboxing here, but really – even in these tight economic times you can afford five freakin’ dollars. Every last one of you can. Heck, if you’re unsure about it, go download the demo on Steam and try it first.
That’s it. I’m done ranting now. Thanks for indulging me. Now go indulge in some Goo. You won’t regret it.

I really wish I could bring myself to purchase World of Goo but for whatever reason the game just didn’t mesh with me when I tried the demo last month.
I would, but Steam doesn’t like my credit card or my PayPal account.
I just got it. The funny thing is that I already have the game for the Wii. I couldn’t resist it though.
Done and done. Got Defense Grid, Unreal III, and World of Goo for $35 bucks!
I’ve been eyeing this on Steam all day since waking-up. Well, the whole three hours I’ve been awake, that is :P I can afford it — no problem — but something has been nabbing at me that, if I put $5 on my credit card my universe will implode. I don’t know why this game is so fore-boding, but it will end me.
… meh, it was a good run.
