Capcom officially announced yesterday that the upcoming Resident Evil 5 will indeed be seeing a return of the popular unlockable Mercenaries mode.
For all four of you on the planet who didn’t play RE4 and are unfamiliar with it, Mercenaries is an arcade-like, score based mode. You have to survive for the duration of a countdown timer while waves of enemies threaten to overwhelm your limited ammo and resources.
Capcom gives us a few sneak peeks at what to expect when RE5 hits store shelves later this month on Friday the 13th. Ahhh, sneaky sneaky Capcom. We see what you did there, you rascally scamps! Regardless, check out the sweet, sweet Sheva action (oh, and Chris too, I guess) after the jump.
This was a really great mode in RE4. In RE5, there’s offline co-op for this mode too right? That’d be fun.
